Re: 2.0 engine and gearbox
Questionable listing, insufficient information provided for the engine to be confident of fair rebuild costs. As I noted in the comments there is no intake cam present, and likely no exhaust cam either in the RH head. If exhaust cam was there you would likely see the chain - of course its possible t...

Re: First or second series of a Fiat Dino 2,0 Litre?
I pulled out the hardcopy binder to check, and indeed these pages match yours, along with an additional page A2.21 a specefically showing the detail updates for two styles of the linkage pivot base (?) which mounts atop the cam cover. II 1970 would be the edition of this catalog which your version r...

Re: First or second series of a Fiat Dino 2,0 Litre?
For the record: AC 0001883 and AS 000636 both have linkage throttle, not the cable. I will check my copy of a late issue parts catalog which lists update numbers into 1968. The downloaded PDF catalogs I have are of an earlier issue, and incomplete. From what I recall the updates corellated accuratel...

Re: Replacing valve stem seals with the engine in car
To simplify your life as much as possible I would pick the crustiest spark plug on the 4-5-6 (LH) cylinder head and make that the target cylinder. The LH head is much more streamlined to work on. You should certainly get a universal style compressor to make do, maybe a little modification enhancemen...

Re: Wanted: Decent Door Panels for 2-Liter Coupe
Periodically check the italian ebay site for more obscure salvage type items. https://www.ebay.it/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2380057.m570.l1311&_nkw=fiat+dino&_sacat=0 I am sure you can optimise this search if you know Italian. There is a 2400 panel set with speaker cutouts in the ins...

Re: Replacing valve stem seals with the engine in car
If I were to go this route it would be with rope in the combustion chamber w piston at TDC or close. (must remove the spark plugs) The issue here is its quite the gamble to solving the smoke issue, where its most likely a combination of general wear among a few key players - bore, guides, rings. If ...

Re: Console removal 1967 Dino Coupe 2000
Hi Ben, RE: dash top removal - Yours may be holding on a bit from the front, against the windshield where there are a few (think 2) metal tabs that help locate and secure the piece. I have not had an issue with this, but it is likely to offer a little extra 'hold'- so as you start lifting the top ab...

Re: Need: armrests in beige/creme
Agree wholly on originality - With a pause on old vinyl. Vintage leather can maintain charm, vintage vinyl not so much in the case of the Fiat Dino. For the side panels they are made from pine style wood and a fibre board that is readily available. Over the years the fibreboard gets compromised by a...
