Hi,
does anyone know the material used to make these? I have an existing one, but one of the tabs is snapped and I'd like to fabricate a replacement.
It looks like a very heavy canvas, but searches (I am probably not looking for the correct material) havent found anything comparable.
Thanks,

Re: Carello Headlights
I bought a set from someone here last year. Didn't fit tabs all wrong. Believe they may for an Alfa.
Don't know how you can be sure, without trial fitting

Re: Tacho removal 2.4 Coupe
Thanks for the replies, both regarding how to get at the back of the Tacho to remove and also , regarding the damping. Yes is interesting its only post restoration that the tacho. is exhibiting the erratic needle, I wonder if there is an issue with the wiring, I can't remember if the resto. included...

Tacho removal 2.4 Coupe
Hi, what is the procedure for removing the above, the needle in mine is bouncing all over the place, and reading much higher than the actual revs. I have been told its the damper ? Was going to send it off for repair over the winter. Could the symptoms be anything other than the gauge itself ? Thanks

Re: 16" wheel on 2400 coupe
Hi, apologies if I have confused the issue with my photography ! The bottom photo's in both this Thread and the linked thread are of my 2400 before restoration (when it was green ) running on the 16" Rims with the same tyres Dunlop 205/55 R16's - the same wheel/tyres in both pics The middle pic...

Re: 16" wheel on 2400 coupe
Hi, a few points the wheels that Scalino bought from Superformance are 14" I believe? The 16" do have bevelled stubs for the hup caps - not the incorrect straight cut illustrated in Tim's thread on the 14" repos' he purchased. The paint finish on my 16"'s wasn't the greatest eith...

Re: 16" wheel on 2400 coupe
Hi, I have a set of 16" rims (the superformance Cromadora copies with 205/55R16s) I used to run on my 2400 coupe . (no fouling issues) I thought they looked OK, but I think it fair to say they wasn't a lot of love on the forum for them. Since then I have had a fairly major restoration, and am n...

Sound deadening under bonnet(hood)
Seen some recent conversations about the making cost etc. of the above. But was wondering about the purpose, does it have draw backs? Presumably it was intended to quieten the engine noise, but only for convertibles? It only came with convertibles? (Both 2 & 2.4?) So why not add it to a coupe (a...

What do these 2 switches do ? dino interior switches.JPG With the ignition off - the switch on the left turns on the lights at either end of the dashboard and the interior light above the mirror - and that's it ! If I switch the switch on the right it switches the lights that have been switched on w...

Re: Ice Ice baby
Thanks Dario, that's a good idea, amp + Bluetooth receiver. & gives the option of beefing up the power - though would there even be period correct separate amplifiers in the 1970's ? I don't think ICE was very sophisticated back then! for the sake of ease of wiring I might go period radio, conve...
