Re: Protective Pan Under Radiator

I have two Fiat Dino Spider 2000 Series 1 (1967), and neither of them has a protective metal pan under the radiator (engine coolant). The radiator sits on a cross member... and there's nothing under the cross member. In front of it is a body panel. Attached are two photos... and also on the exploded...

Re: Looking for door sill plates

Instead of cadmium plating, they'll likely use yellow galvanizing. This is a two-stage zinc-based coating. First, a zinc coating is applied by electrogalvanizing, and then it is treated with a chemical passivation that gives it its yellow color. I had most of my metal parts (brake calipers, bolts, n...

Re: Looking for door sill plates

However, it has become common practice for restorations to generally galvanize metal parts yellow... you probably mean gold CAD plating... For example, I had my sandbla...

Re: Does a 1967 Dino Spider 2.0 have a lever to control idle?

According to Fanalone's list, the first Dino Spider 2000 Series 2 was the vehicle with
chassis number 0000524. / Pininfarina-Number 190501

The main changes were:

But of course, there were continuous further changes after that.

Re: Does a 1967 Dino Spider 2.0 have a lever to control idle?

@DinoionATL @Gaelicguy Ask @Fanalone when the switch was made. He has a detailed list of all the changes throughout the Spider's history. The (first) models of Series 1 (I have #0000222 and #0000259) were certainly like the ones in my photos in my previous post and like those in this picture. 111.JP...

Re: Does a 1967 Dino Spider 2.0 have a lever to control idle?

Hello @DinoinATL.. Since I'm currently assembling my Dino Spider, I have a photo of the area where everything can be explained.. 1 - is the lever for the airbox, which controls the fresh air intake in the footwell of the driver's cab (there is a lever on the left and right under the dashboard, each ...
