Sorry to respond late, but during the restoration of my 2.4 spider I faced the same issue....crapped out dinoplex. I gutted mine, kept the original shell and introduced an MSD inside. Car runs like a top while still keeping its original appearance. I would recommend this to anyone. yes you can still...

Yes, One of 2 in that color in 1971 according to Pininfarinas records and they were both sold in Rome. True story, in 1971 I was a 17 year old and my parents sent me to europe.
