Yellow warning light on dash

When I started to drive home on Sunday after exhibiting my Dino coupe at Ferraris on Fifth in Naples (Florida), I noticed some dew had formed on the rear window so I decided to use the heated switch to see if it would burn off. Well, the glass did get warm enough to clear the haze but I noticed a ye...

Re: So what did you do to your Dino today?

I purchased a new coupe trunk gasket from Mr. Fiat in Atlanta to replace one that had gotten chewed up around the latch. The replacement came quickly and seems to be better quality with a steel rib in the flange that attaches to the trunk flange seam. Put it in using small amounts of the 3M yellow w...

Re: WANTED: DinoPlex housing or case AEC 103

Stefan, I had responded earlier to your inquiry about interest in a "new" Dinoplex casting since my otherwise original Dino has the Elma ignition box. I too am interested in obtaining one of your casting if the quality is good. Also, as I intend to fit Adrien's electronics with a Lumenitro...

Re: Dino coupe

Peter From an economic perspective, it's always better to purchase a car that has been restored by someone else. I've spent $100,00k on projects that brought $60,000 when I sold them on. So let someone else do the hard (and expensive work) and purchase something that is good enough in quality you ca...

Re: Wanted: Dinoplex AEC101 case / housing

Stefan, I have a late production run 2400 coupe but it has the aftermarket equivalent of a Dinoplex ignition. I am thinking about replacing it with a AEC 103a box but with Adriens Bosch upgrade inside. Original look but with modern reliability! So if the new solid state stuff can be packed into the ...

Re: Wanted: Trunk opener Dino 2400 Coupe!

Jos,

That's fine--as we say in America, we'll leave the light on for you! Seriously the invitation to visit still stands, just remember we'll be at the Amelia Island Concours around the 12-15th of March. Any other time is great!

Re: Wanted: Trunk opener Dino 2400 Coupe!

Jos, Yes, I accept your offer of $35 usd for the boot lift opener. And I will be happy to ship it up to Asheville NC. BUT there is a cheap airline (Allegiant Air) that flies direct from Asheville to Punta Gorda Florida for about $49. If you want to come down, see my 72 Dino Coupe and pick the opener...

Dino coupe air conditioner location

A rare option on the late 2400 Coupe was a Borletti air conditioner. While I have been unable to determine how many vehicles were so equipped, I did find one I imported from Turin recently. Attached are pictures of how the fan unit replaced the glove box in the passenger dash. Under the bonnet, the ...

Re: Fuse box location on coupe

Dominque Thanks for posting some helpful pictures. I have3 a 72 coupe (2400) tht was built near the end of the production run. Chassis number of 000 5971. I am having trouble believing that to replace a blown fuse I have to remove the entire dash cover. That seems too extreme and is certainly not &q...

Re: Fuse box location on coupe

Tobi & Argonaut Thanks for your inputs. Guys, I've been under that dash so many times today I'm beginning to look like a noodle. BUT I can neither see nor feel anything above the air conditioner unit. On the extreme right hand side (next to the door post) are a few relays and the round flasher c...
