2.0 Coupe and Spyder exhaust system differences?
Does anyone know how different theexhaust systems are for the 2.0 Coupe and Spyder? How much fettling would be required to fit a Spyder exhuast to a coupe? Why? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/303803492196 I wouldn't pay that much but it may be a way to get a serviceable system on the car while I restore...

2.0 replacement starter solenoid
Having finally got my starter motor out http://www.fiatdinoforum.org/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1352&p=6364#p6364 I need to replace the solenoid. The normal suppliers have them but there are also very similar looking units available for a third of the price. Does anyone have any parts equivalency d...

Re: 2.0 Coupe - Removing Starter Motor
Starter finally out! I can confirm that on a 2.0 Coupe you do need to remove all three headers and the engine mount. With just the headers out you can get tantalising close and you may be able to manoeuvre it out but you risk breaking an exhaust stud or mangling the threads on them. The mounting stu...

Re: 2.0 Coupe - Removing Starter Motor
OK thanks folks.
I got a spanner on 5 out of the 6 manifold nuts and could turn them all so I'm feeling a bit more confident about the job.

Wanted: Your old 2.0 Coupe Exhaust System
When my car is finished I'm going to treat it to a new IMSAF system. However the current system is literally falling to bits and I could do with a system, or some bits, to keep it going for a while. So if you are in the UK, probably south of Brum and you've got some tatty but usable 2.0 Coupe exhaus...

Re: 2.0 Coupe - Removing Starter Motor
Thanks folks. I messaged with a couple of chaps that know these cars very well. Both suggested the headers / engine mount approach but one also said he finds it easier to slide the gearbox back. I can see the appeal of this latter approach though I'd have concerns about getting the gearbox mated aga...

2.0 Coupe Starter earth
On my car it was: nut - strap - thick washer - body
But that just seems to add an extra source of resistance and I'd have thought it should be:

2.0 Coupe - Removing Starter Motor
Folks, it's been about 25 years since I last took the starter motor out of my 2.0 Coupe. Please remind me how to do it.
Many thanks.
