Update...I found some proof of the original white color also in the engine bay.
So it seems that engine bay was originally painted...

I have a first series Spider, with aluminium dashboard I want to put the original throttle cables for choke and extra gas back, as it was put of by the last owner. Can anybody tell me where the cables go trough the firewall and where they mount to the carbs? Also how does the electronic wire connect...

as i understood the trunklid is made of polyster, at least mine is...
Are there more polyester bodyparts on it?
