Re: Reproduction Chassis plates

Following on from earlier question regarding chassis plates, what is the number at the top of the plate. It reads Omolgazione I have seen both DGM 7308OM and DGM 5061OM on chassis plates for 2400 Coupe I have seen this earlier thread - but doesn't really answer what the differences are between the 2...

Reproduction Chassis plates

Was thinking of buying one of these from Superformance as the writing has all but disappeared from my original. The embossed Chassis number and for spares numbers are still visible though. However the bottom number embossed on my plate is the For spares number. i.e. No line below for the Color code....

** WANTED** Front and Rear number plate brackets

Hi, I am looking for the original Fiat Dino Coupe 2400 front and rear number plate brackets, I believe rear looks like : rear plate bracket.JPG Similar required for front plate. I'd also like to go with an Italian size version for the front plate and appropriate bracket for that, obviously when on t...

Re: Fuel pump replacement: BCD to Hardi

Thanks for sharing - it does look a perfect replacement, with the inlet/outlets able to be set the same positions as the original. But I'm interested to know, was it for the asthetics - more like the original BCD? that you went for the Hardi over the Facet pump. Or is the Hardi a better pump - close...

Re: which wheels

Hi Vlad, could you tell us how the Coupe is to drive/ behaves with the 16" wheels? I was running the 16" prior to the restore that is now nearing an end, so at that time the suspension was very worn. So I don't think I can give a very objective view of handling as such, it went down the r...

Re: which wheels

Thanks for all your replies, looks there isn't a lot of love for the oversize 16" comadora repos. Are the approaching 50 year original cromadoras safe to run, mine seem to be in good condition, but 50 year old mag.alloy ? If I were to get them stripped and repainted without the blacked out segm...

Re: which Tyres / Tires ?

Wouldn't the more modern low profile rubber be better? At clearing water, lateral grip, safer stopping etc...? Or perhaps the remade XWX and Cinturatos incorporate new technology - they just look old ? (have the same tread pattern?) I'd certainly like to think for the price they charge we are not ge...

Re: which wheels

Also regarding the hubcaps , what are the thoughts about painting them black (as I believe they should be ?) To my mind the correct coupe 'domed' hubcaps of the 2400 don't look very good painted -- I always though the spider type hubcaps with their recessed area would take the black painted area bet...

Re: which wheels

Thanks Luis , hhhmmmmm….. yes totally get the originality argument. Funny years ago at a car show I heard 2 scrutineers arguing over the merits of the black segment - yes originality so marks not lost - but one of the guys really didn't like them maybe now my car is Grigio Silverstone they'll look d...
