wow that's great info - thanks for posting - sounds like your Dino is really healthy. And it certainly sounds healthy from about 1:05 onwards in the youtube video.
Thanks again

2400 Coupe battery box
Could someone who has a 2400 Coupe maybe take some pictures of the cover or box that'sover the battery in the boot/trunk, please?
Mine is completely missing, I might try to make one but have never seen one close up.
Thanks,
-Richard

Re: So what did you do to your Dino today?
Today I replaced the boot lid (trunk lid) release cable.
I made my own up from parts bought at Flanders Co. http://www.flanderscables.com/
It works so much better now - very happy.

Re: Oils.
Oh and in the gearbox I used Amsoil GL4 oil http://www.amsoil.com/shop/by-product/transmission-fluid/manual/manual-transmission-and-transaxle-gear-lube-75w-90/?code=MTGQT-EA GL-4 and not GL-5 because there are apparently additives in GL-5 (Sulphur, I think) that can damage brass synchronizers like o...

Re: Oils.
I'm in the US and I used Amsoil gear oil http://www.amsoil.com/shop/by-product/gear-lube/synthetic-80w-90-gear-lube/?code=AGLQT-EA with limited slip additive http://www.amsoil.com/shop/by-product/gear-lube/slip-lock-gear-oil-additive/?code=ADATB-EA That cured all the noises from the rear end. It was...

Re: Heated Rear Window
probably either a break in the traces on the window - or where the wiring is connected to the window. Either way is easily detectable with an ohm-meter - you should see a few ohms across the window - if it's open circuit then you can determine whether it's the glass or the wiring easily enough. Neit...

Re: Carb set-up
That's funny Thomas - yes I wondered what car was "ES-D-246" but now we know, small world indeed. Maybe you could publish the whole article here - might be very interesting! It's difficult to plan an approach to resolving these hesitation problems - you have to weigh several factors. - How...

Re: Boot (trunk) release cable
Thanks Thomas - very helpful. I will now spend the day in the back seat of my car. And the link looks good - it's a pretty long cable, nearly 3 metres. I've had good luck replacing shorter cables with new brake cables from a bicycle shop because they're very high quality. But they're always cut to a...
