Re: Oil type
To all, If your car has always been using mineral oil, be carefull when changing over to modern synthetic oil. Mineral oil leaves a deposit in the engine. When you start using synthetic oil, these deposits or sludge, may detach and can block oil channels. Of course I don't have to explain what damag...

Re: Fiat Dino Colour Codes
Hey Patrizio, First of all: Un prospero 2016 con belle Dino! Now here you see the colour 490-68, according to the internal Lechler's code, and which was the colour of my Fathers 2000 Dino coupé! As I already mentioned, his car had the dark red skai seats, but was equipped with dark blue carpetry! (T...

Re: What will our cars be worth in 2020
Fiat Dino's will go up in price to levels you pay nowadays for a 206 or 246! What is interesting, is to see the price difference in between a Spider and a Coupé. The Spider was initially fitted with poor interior features, something that was rectified afterwards. It had the image of a playboy car! B...

Re: Engine Up Grade
I have seen even worse!
In the neighbourhood of Turnhout (B) I often saw a Dino Coupé, fitted with a Diesel engine!
I suppose that in those days, people were not aware of the beauty and value of these wonderfull creations!

Re: Wheels - "Dino" or "FIAT"?
The wheel rims were 14 inch on all Spider and Coupé models. The hubcap on the Dino 206 and 246, as well as on the Spider and Coupé are the same with the exception of the centre part. In the case of a 206 or 246 the decorative centre part should be "DINO" and for the Spider and Coupé "...

Re: Fiat Dino Colour Codes
Hey Lincoln,
If you order col. 490, you end up with a colour that is far too dark.
The right colour is not 490 but 490-68.
As far as interior colours are concerned, my Fathers Dino Coupé (end 1967 till 1971) had a dark red skai upholstery, however the carpets were dark blue and not dark grey!

2000 and 2400 Dino Coupé restoring and modifying projects
Hey everyone, Since yesterday I had my 2000 and 2400 Dino Coupé´s in my new workshop! This afternoon I spend 3 hours overthere and already started to sort some parts. As my hands were itching, I also did a bit of paint stripping! As you can see, I don't like acid paintstrippers, nor sanding or shotb...
