Re: Fiat Dino chassis number
I have checked my sources in this particular question: (re which Dino Coupe was first to get the large Dinoplex factory-installed.) My source was a photocopy of the FIAT Service Message in German - which I actually think I got from Mike Morris!! Unfortunately, it was of a less-good printing quality,...

Re: Gemmer steering box
The only steering box looking similar to the Gemmer/Dino box seems to be the steering boxes for FIAT 125/125P/132/Argenta. Also, the 125 box gearing ratio is the same as the Gemmer/Dino box. I have overhauled and adopted one of these to fit a Fiat Dino, as a good-to-have spare part, if the original ...

Re: Fiat Dino 2000 Parts Suppliers
Keen, from your pics, I am pretty sure your Spider has knock-off wheels, and -if so - you are not looking for the correct spare part numbers. See D3.14, below: These front axle spindles are longer than the corresponding ones used for all Fiat Dinos with bolt-on wheels (both Coupes and Spiders). Skär...

Re: Which carbs on the 2400?
My guess is, all Weber 40 DCNF will fit a Fiat Dino. The different versions 13 - 20 are probably only referring to different jet set-ups, choosen from factory. Maybe they need to have some of the jets exchanged, to work well in a Fiat Dino - with longer exhaust systems, making different gas resistan...

Re: Which carbs on the 2400?
The difference between Weber DCNF 6 and DCNF 12 is, the DCNF 12 has two adjustible air bypass needles: Weber 40 DCNF 6: Skärmbild 2023-05-22 121118.png Weber 40 DCNF 12 151575446-origpic-1ec74c.jpg So, if not new air bypass needles are included in a specific service kit, there should be no differenc...

Re: 2.0 ltr Spider
1. No problems with changing the bearing. It is fixed to the drive shaft with a crimp metal ring, which is to be exchanged at the same time as the bearing. You first slide on the new bearing, then heat up the crimp ring and press it down, to secure the bearing to the shaft. 2. The distance you have ...

Re: 2.0 ltr Spider
Assuming you don´t really need to separate the actual knock-off hub from the driveshaft, there is a way withdrawing the driveshaft from the rear axle tube - with brake disc and knock-off hub still in place. Re: Parts identification help needed
Ribolla_67 must be right! If looking at all FIAT factory pics of the Spiders, they all seem to have got red tail lights/brake lights. And - international regulations always seem to demand rear lights and brake lights in red colour, not orange or yellow. On the other hand, all Dino Spiders sold new i...

Re: 2.0 spider Pininfirana soft top for sale
Andrew, I think you are all to pessimistic about which Fiat Dino Spider version your soft top and your Pininfarina hardtop should fit. Now and then, some people has claimed that 2 Litre and 2,4 Litre Spiders are of different length, and therefore not sharing the same body parts. I am convinced this ...
