Re: Controlling your engine Temp from Dash

Not sure about the Spyder, but If you have a coupe - you can easily remove the front part of the dash. Four allen screws and that section lifts out ( there doesn't seem to be anything tying in the air vents). With that part out, you have full and easy access to all the gauge wiring. 2.0 coupe rear axle oil

I'm finally near the end of the full restoration on my '67 2.0 coupe. For the rear axle - the manual call for SAE 90 EP - 4 gallons. But I'm struggling to find this. The usual automotive shops carry lots of gear oil - but not with the EP. And many seem to be multi weight synthetics. Can anyone help ...

Re: Cracked dash repairs

I had the same problem, but found a guy in town who does interior repair. He uses some type of glue/plastic and was able to repair the cracks and even match the pattern. I found him through the interior shop that rebuilt my seats.

Re: Coupe Bodywork

I had my coupe soda blasted to remove all the paint, including the underside. They had a 'general purpose' adjustable rotisserie that was simply bolted to the underside, with a large wheel at the end. A simple friction bolt held the rotation in place. That said, I'm not sure why you would want to bu...

Re: Gas Tank Sender Unit

I purchased a fuel tank sending unit from Superformance - the car is still in restoration, so I can't comment on how well it works - but the quality seems high,

Re: Distributor noise

There's your problem..... those pins should be up against the surface.... Could be worn springs, or the pins could just be sticking. I'd start by pulling the pins - if they move easily, then it's time for new springs. Be careful to get the right weight springs - there have been lots of stories of ov...

Re: New Member questions

Just like the Porsche world, there is an incredibly wide range of starting modes. Currently Hemmings shows two coupes - $11,750 for a 2.0 in California that's been sitting for a long time, needing restoration, but the engine turns by hand (although this likely means that it will still need a rebuild...
