Re: Dinoplex AEC101 cases
Hi I would be very interested to purchase one from you. I bought an electronic set up from superformance..item;30817145 Just a heads up, 30817145 is the old Super4 ignition from Superformance, which is a copy of the seventies Bosch TSZ combined with a Bosch coil and ballast resistor. You won't gain...

Re: Urgent: dinoplex!!
Question: can I start the car wit the dinoplex on normal and the switch it to emergency while the engine is running? The car starts better with the dinoplex but will use less current on points. Yes you can, although it will use more current on points in lower revs due to the high dwell. Also, the D...

Re: Ignition Rotor weight springs.
Sure, here you are... the dotted line is measured without advance, the full line with 10º advance.Barnfind wrote:I will have a closer look when I'm back.
could you post the advance curve for a 2400?
Regards..
Both values are shown at the crankshaft.

Re: Ignition Rotor weight springs.
Obviously the same springs won't be exactly the same, buy will they differe so much? I have a strobe light with timing and rpm, which helps for a basic test.. If the disteibutor follows the timing curve should be ok? The springs need to fit the weight and wear of the advance weights and the conditi...

Re: Ignition Rotor weight springs.
Springs are not "plug & play", you need to have access to a range of springs and a distributor testing machine to set up the advance mechanism properly. Just installing a set of springs without a testing machine could either lead to a too retarded timing (less engine output, slower thr...

Re: Idle Jets size icrease
Factory idle jets are.50 from what i remember, depending on the fuel quality you might want to go to either .55 or .60 for the idle jets. My current setup is .60 idle jets for European Super fuel, which works quite nicely. Also check the advance curve, you should see around 20º crankshaft advance at...

Re: Dinoplex ignition
With an optical pickup the pulse time is very short so it is not interfering with the dwell time of the Bosch setup (which is quite fast due to the high performance coil, about double as fast as a classic ignition coil). When using a points setup to trigger the Bosch setup via an inverter, the trigg...

Re: Dinoplex ignition
Hi Dinoswede, the Marelli BES 200 A is a classic inductive coil for a points and coil setup. It might not handle the high primary voltage sent from the AEC103 on the long run. You can still use it and it most probably won't suddenly fail but if the insulation gets damaged then the spark output gradu...
