Re: 2400 Coupe engine rebuild

Right, you need these inner spanners with the "plates" and then to Place them as much up and down as possible - then it works very well.

Re: Compression Test Results

I fully agree that the wear of the camshafts is a problem and drilling these holes is recommended. I did and do this on every Dino engine I did/do. As compression is build up when the valves are closed it should not influence the compression.

That’s not a lot. If the engine does not smoke, delivers power, runs smooth and doesn’t consume much oil It sounds not too bad but but of course it’s difficult too give an opinion from the distance. A TestDrive an an experts opinion on-site is definetly recommended.

Re: 2400 Coupe engine rebuild

Hi Richard, as the pilot bushing is important, cheap and difficult to reach it should be replaced every time you can reach it. When I remember right it is correct that it sticks out. Bit, it will go into the „hole“ of the flywheel anyway and give there a little bit of support to mount the flywheel :...

Re: Hood vent and side vent versions

It’s indeed an interesting discussion. I have on my 2,4 the flat ones in black. As one is broken I am looking for a new one or pair.
