Hi, I didn't put anything else other than copper paste on the screws before bolting them up. No leaks or problems as yet, but I have not tried (or had to) take them off again. It helps if you unbolt the transmission and use a jack to move the engine up and down a little.
good luck,
Dario

Re: Drive train vibration
Hi Rob, There are some probable causes to explore, but you need to pinpoint the problem. Does the rumbling go away if you have the car rolling at speed and (a) press the clutch while leaving the gear in place or (b) place the car in neutral and release the clutch? How about if you coast with no or l...

Re: Ignition Rotor weight springs.
Hi, I redid mine thanks to Adrian's help. Superformance was very kind and actually sent me a set of the springs for free (that is all I needed). I think I still have a couple if you are interested I could try to dig them up. If you do not have a testing machine, you need to put it back in the car an...

Re: Wipers intermittent mode
Hi, I replaced mine with the Alfa model, and the wipers work again. however, the pot on the dashboard became very unresponsive. I'm curious to know if this happens to you, too. Inside the "black box" is a a heater/resistor element with a bi-metallic contact. It is the heating/cooling cycle...

Re: Fiat Dino Air Vents
Well done on the model! Let us know when you hear back from the printers... On this note, I had a friend make some 3D printed repros, and the results were pretty good. Unfortunately, the plastic they used was good until some 70°C, and melted on a hot day near the dash. You might want to double-check...

Re: Hot Starting Issue
I stand corrected! I would guess the spark plugs would be dry if they were hot enough to prevent condensation of the fuel. I would also check if there is a smell of gasoline from the exhaust when it's not starting...

Re: Hot Starting Issue
Hi Brian, I've been thinking about your hot start issue. Vapor lock could be an easy culprit, but it shouldn't be a real problem in our Dinos: the Fuel pump is below the gas tank, away from engine heat. Also, we have a recirculating fuel line that keeps the fuel constantly running in the fuel lines,...

Re: Hot Starting Issue
Maybe you have already done this, but if you have a chance, a good place to start is to look at the plugs when it's not starting: are they moist with gas or bone dry? If it's the latter, definitively a fuel supply problem (carbs, vapour), if they are moist, then look to the ignition side. If (like m...

Re: Hot Starting Issue
Oops, sorry Brian, I didn't see it was you. I think you know more about these cars than most of us... My battery has difficulty cranking the engine when it's hot, but it's a bit smaller than the recommended size (which is pretty huge). Concerning the gas supply, there should be enough in the carb bo...
