Re: Chassis number

So far with this data your Dino is a Fiat Dino Coupe 2400 built in 1971 with original colour Giallo champagne, a light yellow. A very nice colour I personally like a lot.

Re: Battery positive cable split loation

Good choice. I drive with a WOSP starter since years in my 2400 Coupe with no problems.

Re: Sun visor valence FIAT Dino 2000 coupe

I resprayed the originals. Before I filled minor cracks with fine filler for leather and sanded again and again multiple times, spray fillered it, sanded and spray fillered again and then plastic primer and then colour. I don’t use bright white but a colour called in German „Kieselbeige“. I personal...

Re: Sun visor valence FIAT Dino 2000 coupe

I made good experience with re-spraying them on my 2.4 but not white, I used a kind of beige. I first used primer for plastic and then the colour.

Re: 2.01967 Spider #665

How is it on the Spiders? Does your German indicator has also only one contact? On my Spider I have the indicat...

Re: Coupe 2400 engine removal

Hi Richard,
I was looking for a picture but somehow did not find one…
Unused to mount my engine on the engine stand with four M12 bolts on the clutch side of the block. Strong enough and then you can also rotate the engine, at least on my engine stand.

Re: Coupe 2400 engine removal

Exactly. You mount the traverse where the engine sits on back on with four screws, the lower wishbone back on to the traverse with the two screws and stick the steering linkage back together, then you can put on the wheels and roll the chassis. You don’t need to put the anti roll bar back on to move...

Re: Coupe 2400 engine removal

Hi Richard, I can share my experience and the way I did it. And to your questions: - Fiat Dino has also a Pilot bushing in the crankshaft, should be exchanged when clutch or engine gets renewed - Engine should not rattle and sound churning, but Whiny sound is indeed kind of Dino sound. Chain tension...

Re: Coil springs

Yes absolutely, these are the rights ones! In Common Internet platforms there are many Sets of these, usually there are Two Pairs of "plates" in it, the Dino needs the bigger ones.
