Re: Fiat Dino production numbers

Best regards Eric This is not what your figures say: You display #1583 from november 1972 until january 1973. This me...

Re: Fiat Dino production numbers
I bet this bonnet comes from #3665 and has been changed to 3685 when it was stollen. Just have a look to the 8 figure middle bar and check on the internet the font of the eights stamped by Fiat: they never have "straight" bars between the shoulders and the waist. And then, the other number...

Re: Fiat Dino chassis number
All Fiat Dino chassis number plates should show the "seven-digit number", following the FIAT "chassis number plate standard" of the period. As already suggested, the reason for using a long line of zeros before the actual chassis number must be to prevent any kind of tampering w...

Re: Fiat Dino chassis number
That's exactly what I'm doing when I ask this question about chassis numbers. By the way, still no answer on that particular subject. Any clue?

Re: Fiat Dino chassis number
Someone needs to do that otherwise our cars will become fake garage queens. And that's also a pleasure to search and find clues. Maybe also that at the end, the book will be so different from that of Mike that it will be by itself a new book that can be made available. Indeed, I got the sting from M...

Re: Fiat Dino chassis number
That's unfortunately not possible as long as this remains copyrighted content and that the owner of the rights (Mike's widow) is not opened to a new eddition. I was discussing the french translation with Mike, but he passed away before I've had the time to finish it. So, I'm finishing the job, inclu...

Fiat Dino chassis number
I’m currently in the process of checking the consistency of my updated e-version of Mike Morris’s book. There are tons of issues with our Dino chassis numbers, but today, one very obvious just exploded to my eyes: I’m pretty sure chassis numbers should be the actual chassis number padded with enough...

Re: How do the interior vents work on a coupe
As far as I've understand the thing, this works as a valve that allows the air to flow out of the car while driving. And when stopping, to prevent bad smell from the exhaust to enter the car, there is a "cloth valve" that locks the flow. If you turn the knob, this will lock the "cloth...

I've gone for a Pioneer Bluetooth radio that can be fully managed through an IPhone. The autoradio seats hidden in the glove box, the DAB and FM antenas are hidden in the car and no one can notice that the car actually has a radio.
