Thanks Ben - very useful.
I'll do it direct to the rear of the engine and worry about the flywheel afterwards.

Re: Coupe 2400 engine removal
Next question is... How does everyone mount the engine on a stand to work on it? Is the clutch end strong/safe enough to hold the engine in the usual way? Or is it better to support the engine from either side at the engine mounts? if anybody's got pictures of how they mount a Dino engine on a stand...

Re: Coupe 2400 engine removal
Thanks Thomas and Dominique, Okay, that looks like the way to do it! I do have a lift, but in a different place away from all the tools - and it's a 4-post storage lift, therefore the ramps get in the way of removing wheels/suspension etc - but i know it can be done because i rebuilt all the suspens...

Coupe 2400 engine removal
It looks as though, after 10 years of ownership, my 2400 engine needs a rebuild. Lots of emulsified oil (milkshake) in the oil-fillers and an oil analysis revealed ant-freeze chemicals in the oil - so... Of course it could just be a head-gasket, and maybe that's do-able with the engine still in the ...

Re: Blue Sera 2000 Coupe Adventure
Hi Andrew, I just tried about 15 times to get a good picture of this ground stud, total failure, the ones I have would only confuse you. It's sort of "on top of" the hinge bracket - run your finger around the bend of the hinge part that's on the lid, then jump across to the body's bracket ...

Re: Blue Sera 2000 Coupe Adventure
Andrew, You were asking about how the heated rear window wiring is attached to the rear screen: I've tried taking pictures but the area is so small I can't get a good angle from inside the boot or down through the glass. I'll try to explain as best I can, again with the caveat that mine doesn't work...

Re: Blue Sera 2000 Coupe Adventure
Hi Andrew, This is Richard - I just replied to you on AlfaBB but I suppose it might be better to continue the conversation here? Your car looks great in the pics, really like that colour. I've also had some recent troubles with stainless trim pieces so I might be able to help with that too. best, -R...

Wanted 2400 Coupe left vent frame
Hello, I'm looking for the broken (blue) part in the picture. I'd call it a left-side wing vent frame. The parts book calls it a 'cornice sfiato aria anteriore sinistra' - part number is 4213668. Car is a 1971 Fiat Dino Coupe 2400. I think 2000 cars had a similar part but without the side indicator ...
