Nice! BTW, you have the correct Dinoplex in place, but the wrong coil (Bosch red)?

Actually it was green beneath the red, but I went for black as it shows the curves well.

The Dinoplex is the original but the coil is a replacement from Superformance - which one should be in place?

The coil should be a Marelli BZR 205A (see photo below). Using a standard coil with two terminals can damage your Dinoplex and tacho and put some high voltage pulses on the car's +12V wiring in a worst case situation.

Have a look at the Dinoplex switch, if it's in "Emergenza" mode you are just using the Bosch red coil with the points as a classic points setup, all safe but the engine will run a bit rough. If it's in "Normale" mode then you want to switch it to "Emergenza" and install the correct BZR205A coil before switching back to "Normale" to avoid any damage.

It is also possible that somebody has removed the original innards from the Dinoplex and replaced them with a Bosch ignition unit. In this case, your setup would be OK, though it's no Dinoplex anymore. You might check this easily by opening the Dinoplex.

Hmmmmmm. I sent my original Dinoplex to Superformance for a 'rebuild' since it never did work in the 'Normal' position. The return included the Bosch coil. Perhaps I should have a talk with Colin to see what was really done.

If your Dinoplex was rebuild by Superformance then the internals were changed to a Superformance Super4 ignition, which technically is a Bosch '75 TSZ clone. The Super4 is not a very strong ignition (similar to points in the coil current) so i would recommend installing a set of NGK BPR7EIX or EVX spark plugs to optimize the ignition and avoid plug fouling. The Bosch red coil is correct for the Super4 setup.
