When the body shop was getting my car down to bare metal they decided to investigate the many layers of color under the red. This is what they discovered:
Seems blue (of one type or another) was the factory color and it seems to have gotten progressively darker over the years until a sudden change to red.

Do you know how we can find out the original color of our cars?
Mine is forst type spider, number 239
its now red, but original previous owner said it was white...
