Engine, Suspension and Subframe Detailing

Post by jgoldstein »

I purchased a very nice one in July from Exotic Classics in New York and I'm evaluating what to do with it to take it to the next level.

I have the engine out and I'm having the exterior pan gaskets including the rear main seal replaced with the proper parts. I am also replacing all suspension bushing bushings replaced and the whole underside of the car detailed powder coated and replated where necessary including axels, differential case and driveshaft. The engine detail although nice will be fully cleaned and detailed powder coated and plated where necessary.

I also will have a cracked rear engine cover fabricated out of billet aluminum with a 3D laser scan and converting the file into CAD and later machined on both sides of the billet aluminum - All beyond me except my ability to write a check. If anyone needs this part we can work out a deal. I've been assured this is the latest technology and the piece comes out "perfectly" - my fingers are crossed.
