Re: Dino Spider Restoration
Thanks John
I am not out of the woods just yet, the car was on Dyno last Friday. Making minor changes to the jets, turns out that my car was running too lean.
Still working on the interior, the seats should be done in 1 week, then its on to the back seat then the doors.....
If all works as planned I will be driving my Dino late November.

Re: Dino Spider Restoration
Do you have some more info about what changes to the carburetor/jets/tubes had to be made? Could be interesting for fellow dino drivers especially when we had a couple cars on a dyno and have some comparisons. Maybe also an Air fuel ratio graph from before and after.
Your car looks great by the way Compliments.

Re: Dino Spider Restoration
Hi John,
I am also relatively new to this site.
Also became a member of the Club Dino Italia.
Well, the way you are attacking your 2.4 l Spyder, that should bring your lovely car in a mint condition. Congrats!\
And thanks for your pictures.
i've got a 2.0 l and 2.4 l Coupé. Why? As my Father owned one f the very first 2.0 l Coupé's imported in The Netherlands. (1 out of 20 ever imported!)
The 2.0 l I intend to rstore to its original state wit perhaps minor improvements, but not visible to the eye!
The 2.4 l should be entirely to the way I see fit, that is to say, minor body and styling mods, suspension and wheels and of course a rally type of engine like for example as on a Lancia Stratos. (Just look and listen to the noise of this one!) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D2OlsCu1tfc
But right now I am first finishing my toolshed., which is importat as I intend to do most of it myself.

Re: Dino Spider Restoration
@Olivier, if it needs that much of a change in jetting I guess it will be running a lot different (nicer ) afterwards. I assume you were running somewhere in the high 14's low 15's with your air fuel ratio than?
@dinofanwim, Why don't you make a project thread about your car(s) with history, plans, opinions etc etc. I've read about your car in several threads with same pictures, story, links and so on. I think it would be more convenient and clear to centralize this in a single project topic.

Re: Dino Spider Restoration
Well guys Dino 1492 got test and came out with a clean bill of health.
We fitted, my car with 135 main jets, 57 idle jets and 190 air restrictor.
Here are some of the Dyno test that took place today Oct, 21,2015
The car performed flawlessly.
Our first test was at 4,500 RPM
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zWDNYUpMTao
Our second test was at 6,000 RPM
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WcYQDq8H4f8
Our last test was at 7,000 RPM
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=22b9UHYYGQU
Got to be honest I was a bit nervous!
After 2 years of restoration the last thing I needed is a blown Dino
engine! To my surprise, she handled that 7K like a race horse!
Now Can I drive the car please.... Let's get the upholstery finish!

Re: Dino Spider Restoration
My two front seats are done. It took a while, but I wanted to be exactly the same as the originals.
