It was properly stiffened. Can't see it in the pictures.
...well I hope it was since we're way past that point now

Re: Rebirth of a Dino
OK here are some more pictures. The car has had a number of panels remade, which make it look new not only from the outside, but also structurally

Re: Rebirth of a Dino
Fantastic resurrection. Did you have any major rust issues? Front of the car and rockers?
Re: Rebirth of a Dino
Rust all over. Front of the car, rockers, floors…name any place and there was rust. The worst was in the sills, which had to be completely refabricated

Nice work! Your car will be spectacular when finished. If it were my car I would look for the original wood finish for the dashboard trim. Not just for the sake of originality but because I associate that wood look with Italian cars of the period. The gnurled high lustre wood in your photos looks more like an English Rolls Royce than an Italian sports car to my eyes. I hope you don't mind the suggestion - it is your car after all

We can discuss about taste ,but not about style.
I agree completely with you , that the matt paintwork
fits better to the characteristic of an italien sportscar.
In former times I have taken the same decision , using only wax on the wood.
The patina result with the years is unique.
Of course Zorglub`s work is outstanding.

I agree with you on the wood veneer which is a bit too luxurious for the car. The original one was completely unusable, and when I had the new one made, I got talked into this burl finish by the wood maker… Well, it's done now - but should not be too difficult to bring it back to original. Here are some pictures of the paint.
Yes, I know… dino logo not correct. But when recessed into the bonnet it looks great
Custom made "Dino 2000" logo - again not for the purist. No prancing horse in sight however...

Another daunting project: fabrication of the folding hood.Only a few pieces came with the car : we had to hand build pretty much everything to fit the body
