Hi Ribolla,
thank you very much for the fast answer.
Another question: what colors were available for the leather?

Any information/ pictures on an original Dino 2000 color "Lilla" #422? here's a link:

http://www.dinoitalia.com/tecnica_colori_fiat.html

Lilla is Italian for lilac/ the color lavender.

In my mind's eye, I picture this color. Could you imagine!

thanks,

doublegarage wrote:Thanks for the new picture. That does indeed look like the colour of my car - therefore I think I am looking for 448.

So I've been trying to buy this paintcode to do some touch-up work - I spoke with the company I usually use (Tower Paints) and they found a Lechler paintcode called Azzurro Blu Metalizzato (but no associated number) - so I bought a can - but this paint is much, much darker than my car. I guess I shouldn't have bought anything without the 448 code.

Anyway, my real question is - does anybody know where you can buy 448 azzurro blu met in small quantities? And if not small quantities, has anybody successfully bought it in large quantities successfully?

Thanks,

-Richard
Hi Richard,

Yes I've used a paint suppliers in Aldermaston called Paint shop products their phone number is 01189 816216 Unit 37 Youngs ind. est. Paices Hill RG7 4PW they haven't failed me yet, they make up cans.
I've had them make Lancia Bronze Longchamps metallic,(Fulvia) Fiat blue touchese (fiat 850 coupe), Fiat Azura mexico 427(or 6?) for a 2.0 coupe and they even identified the colour on my Spider as being Sigma blue and not Sera as I thought. You may be able to send them the petrol flap or some other painted part if you're miles away. They should at least be able to give a good colour match.

Regards

Two colors from Bertone on this photos that was never on the original color chart.
First photo is from a exhibition somtime around 70-72.Second photo is the car from (ex.collezione) Bertone temporary exhibition I took on Malpensa Airport this year.
The 2 cars on the photos might be the same car. It’s said that this Dino was Nucci Bertone’s daily driver at some time.

Interesting. The car on the first photo appears to be a lighter shade than the car on the second photo. It also has the correctly painted wheels, dark grey segments, but not the hub caps. But the second car does not... Why do you think they are the same car?

I say, might be the same car. The light green Dino is a photo from a Bertone exibition ca 1970-1972.
The second photo of the dark green I took in Milano October 2017 about 45 years later. The dark green car has been in the Bertone colletion for many years.
Bertone also modified, developed their cars under the production time.
This Dino had some different headrests on the frontseats.Hard to belive any other company than Bertone did this job.
So I belive the dark green Dino has been owned by Bertone since new.
If it is the same car as the light green, not sure, but it might be.Just had a repaint etc.
Bertone is Bertone

OK, I see; yes makes sense. That is a fantastic period photo for the Bertone exhibit. Can I ask what the source of that photo is?
