New Fiat spider owner, Germany.....

Post by Peter B »

Hello all,
after many oldtimers I came to the Dino world.....why.....? .....complex
I owned many oldtimers, many Porsche, Mercedes, Lancia Touring GT....
Then I start looking to a Ford Osi, nice cars, have seen two at the retro show in cologne
But really rare cars and in good AND orig. conditions nearly not to find. Moonprices......
So the focus changed to The Fiat Dino coupe
There are a few in Europe to get, but how said before, the game is to find the good ones.....
And I found a real good one, first paint in Norway
I was nearly ready to buy, but then I had to travel for business to Milano
In Turin, near by, was the automotoretro show
I met there Toni Ponzio, one from the Dino gurus on this planet.....thanks to Toni again for support. He life’s in this cars and is the real expert
BUT, they are only 2 Dinos coupé at the show and 3 spiders
2 good ones, but too expensive......so my plan was to go for the Coupe in Oslo after the trip. But I made an after show offer for a spider, which got to my surprise accepted
So the coupé search ends up in a spider
BUT a real good one with ~ 35000 km !!, confirmed by documents and very good conditions
I will get the car in two weeks, a friend from me in UK will pick up in Turino... the summer can come.
And one more, the decision for a spider was logic, because I have already a coupe inhouse. And yo must promis my wife that
will be the last oldtimer invest, I get 60 years this year... :?
And you can see my bikes at the pictures
Hope to get the support here if needed.....
Thanks
kind regards
Peter

Welcome Peter! Congratulations on the purchase, I'm sure you'll love it.

Is it a 2.0 or 2.4? I ask as it has a 2.4 grill, but 2.0 bumpers.

Oh my bad, I didn't look at the photo closely enough  I saw the rubber strip as ground, as it is a dark spot. Sorry for the confusion!
