My 1967 coupe is very original but the instruments / gauges have black bezels rather than beige. They do not seem to have been painted and the instruments are the correct ones. Were black bezels also original?

My car also has black bezels, but I have seen cars with gold bezels as well. Mine is an early 67 and the car with gold bezels was a 68.

Really helpful Alex. Mine is also a 67 so perhaps they started black or gave a choice. One less thing to worry about.
