Door Moldings

Post by fdus172 »

As long as we're on the subject of changing moldings ( re the previous post on the window channel replacements). As part of the complete restoration of my '67 coupe, I've replaced all the rubber door moldings, but the new rubber is clearly heavier than the original and the doors now take a large effort to close... The doors are not set too tight as they are in perfect alignment with the outside body work. Have I done something wrong - or do I just have to wait for the new items to crush into shape?

thanks
