Float heights

Post by Beanderb4 »

I have just rebuilt my carbs, having diagnosed poor idling issues down to air leaks at both the mating surface of the carbs to the inlet manifold, and the inlet manifold to the cylinder head, I decided to give the carbs a good clean and treat them to new size 60 idle jets, new needle valves and new floats. However I’ve been looking to find the recommended float height for the 40 dcnf 3 carbs that are fitted on my series II spider. Does anyone have the official specified heights for these carbs. There is lots of info out there for the dcnf 12s and others variants but I can’t find the details for the 40 dcnf 3. I have set them for the moment at 50 and 58.5 but it would be greAt to get the official setti gs. Does anyone know what they are?

Thanks,

Paul

Per some Weber documentation I have for 40 DCNF 3 you have the correct float settings.

Cheers
