a few points the wheels that Scalino bought from Superformance are 14" I believe?
You're correct, those were 14". It sounds like the 16" are more like it.

TBH at the price and with Tim's attention to detail I'd have thought about having superferformance 14" cromadora repos. made good at a wheel refurber. ? A bit extravagant but at £50 a corner you could have the quality finished product you wanted? (But with the hup cap mounting stubs straight cut perhaps still not good enough).
We did actually, but for € 1.200 I think one should get properly painted wheels. If you cannot do it for that price, than add in the € 50 a corner and make them € 1.400 and you will sell a quality product (apart from the hub cap mounting stubs). I personally would never want to sell an - to me - bad product, at any price, it's not worth the bad publicity. Maybe it's just me, but I have a feeling I'm not the only one who thinks so (among Dino owners even more so perhaps).
Adding on top the hub cap mounting stubs sealed it...

Well... I already ordered the Superformance wheels in the 16” size. Will let you know of the quality when they arrive.
Sorry for the thread hijack! I hope you'll not get the same surprise I did and you're happy with the quality (and off course the look)
Just somehow can't stop thinking.....why....
On an Opel Calibra with a body kit....OK, but on a Dino
Anyhow good we're not all the same and i hope you will be happy with the result
Hi, just have to join this
Have never seen the 16" live, but fancy them on pictures
But after seen Vlad's 2 different pictures of the Green 2400 Coupe Im a little confused.
I like this pictureviewtopic.php?f=3&t=1121, but the one on page 1 in this tread looks strange to me. Vlad is it 2 different tire sizes on this 2 pictures?
Hi, apologies if I have confused the issue with my photography !
The bottom photo's in both this Thread and the linked thread are of my 2400 before restoration (when it was green ) running on the 16" Rims with the same tyres Dunlop 205/55 R16's - the same wheel/tyres in both pics
The middle pic in the linked thread is my green dino on the original magnesium 14" rims
Hi Vlad, I perfectly understod the Green/ Gray situation, nicely restored.
But ever since you posted the bacement/ garage picture of the Green version with 16", I taught it looked smashing with 16".
But the latest picture of the Green with 16", taken outside, the tires seems a little to big(in my opinion). Strange how much difference the picture angle and light can do.
Man... tough crowd here.
Anyways, Here are the pics. Superformance 16”. I think quality isn’t bad. Will get tires Monday. Any suggestions on tire? Can I go 215 in width?
Picture as promised. Car is having a few routine things done so don’t have a picture yet with it on the grounds. But still, doesn’t look half bad. Only thing is that they weigh significantly more than the originals.
i don't see the point.. the suspension was designed for 14 inche wheels ,the steering box and idler box will not like these wider tires and the feel will not be right.. you will loose out on handling..
