Distributor shaft wear sleeve
Superformance sells two different distributor shaft wear sleeves. The standard white nylon one and a thicker black plastic one for 15 degrees of advance. I opened up the distributor that was on my 1967 Dino coupe to find the black plastic spacer and one spring was missing on each of the weights and the spring tension was not equal on both weights. Does anyone know if when fitting the thicker black spacer it is required that you remove a spring from each weight? I'm rebuilding the distributor and I was planning on replacing all the springs, weights, etc. and the nylon bushing and bearings. Does anyone have any advice on whether to use the standard vs 15 degree advance shaft wear sleeve? Thanks, Ben.
Re: Distributor shaft wear sleeve
sorry wrong post again.. my computer is acting up sorry..
what i wanted to say is if you change the weights and springs you still have to calibrate your distributor..
