Transmission mount 1967 coupe 2000

I pulled the transmission cross-brace off the car yesterday to replace the transmission mount and discovered a home made solution of rubber blocks and aluminum spacers and the transmission cross-brace is upside down. The new transmission mount I got from Superformance is slightly larger than the width of the cross-brace. I can't tell from the parts manual if the mount is supposed to go over or inside the cross-brace. If it is supposed to go over, then there is no way it is going to fit. If it has to go inside, then I am really going to have to force it in there. I attached some photos. Do I have the correct cross-brace? It looks like all parts suppliers are selling the same transmission mount for the 2000 coupe. Any suggestions?? The photo of the mount and cross-brace on the car is the home made solution, just all cleaned up and powder coated. Thanks, Ben.

Follow up.
1. I put the new transmission mount in the vise with about 4 mm proud of the top of the vice. See photo. This is a large 6" vise. I compressed the transmission mount until it fit inside the transmission cross member. This took a lot of force. I put the transmission cross member over the compressed transmission mount and released the vise pressure to capture the mount inside the cross member.
2. I used a brass drift to push the transmission mount into the transmission cross member far enough to keep it from popping out. I then inserted one end of the transmission cross member and transmission mount in the vise to press the mount far enough so that the bolt hole aligned and then inserted the bolt. I had to grind off maybe 1 mm of the bolt spacer. I then turned the mount and cross member 180 degrees to compress and insert the second bolt. This took a lot of force, including a 30" pipe extension on the handle of the vise. See photos
3. Mounted in car, it fits perfectly. See photo
Sorry for some of the photos being incorrect in orientation. I haven't figured out why that is yet. Turning and saving photos before importing didn't help. Also don't know why the first photo I selected ends up at the end of the list and the last photo I selected ends up at the beginning. So look at the photos in reverse order of posting.
I hope this is helpful to anyone else who is changing out the transmission mount.
Ben.

I can't remember exactly how I got the same superformance mount to go in mine but I remember it was a very tight fit. I do not believe it should be so tight but what else can you do.
