Column indicator and wiper switches

Post by PeteNZ »

Hi All, can anyone tell me whether the same Dino column switchgear for 2400 spiders for indicators/highbeam/wipers /horn are used on any other 60/70's Fiat models? Thanks.

Many Fiat 124 / 125 / 132 used the same type of steering column switch, with three levers.
They also have the same cables and colour codes as the Dinos.
They were made by CAVIS and were numbered 789. You can still find new ones at Ebay.

BUT - the "mounting tube" has an all too narrow inner diameter to fit a Dino, so you will have
to re-use your old original Dino mounting tube. It can be separated from the two switch sections
by drilling out 4 rivets, and the same has to be done to your new part, of course.
These rivets can be replaced by suitible long, narrow screws.

I have done this some years ago, and it works fine.
