Stainless steel exhaust for Fiat Dino 2000 Coupe

Post by bhiggins2 »

I have a bad exhaust leak on one of the passenger side headers where it meets the 3 into 1 portion of the exhaust. I tried tightening the clamp, but it bottoms out and does not seal the leak. At a minimum, I need new clamps. The headers are a bit banged up as the old motor mounts were compressed and had the engine sitting lower than stock. It has new motor mounts now. I was thinking about replacing the headers/exhaust manifolds. Both Superformance and Dinoparts sell stainless steel headers. Does anyone have experience with either with regards to fit and finish? Superformance price is £586.00 and Dinoparts wants €1,316.00. Thanks, Ben.

How about the sound of the Superformance exhaust? Tinny? loud?

Gentlemen,
to repeat my question: Has anybody experience in the comparison of exhaust sound between
- IMASAF mild steel
- Superformance stainless steel
- ANSA and other sports exhausts

Many thanks!

We have a stainless exhaust under the 2.4 Spider from Dinoparts. It was installed during previous ownership (in the early 2000’s), so I can’t really comment on the fitment, other than by the looks of it no alterations were necessary. I have never really experienced the sound from inside another 2.4 back to back. What I can say is that it sounds brilliant.

All in all a bit of a useless post I guess...
