Hey guys can you help me locate a PPG color code or current color code that would
translate to 106-A-32 Azzurro Metallizzato Light Blue Metallic
My paint shop can't seem to be able to locate the color code that I gave them.
Surely someone has painted Azzuro Blue Metallizzato recently.
I am also looking for a nice dark navy blue color code.
Any help from the group would greatly be appreciated.
Thanks
Olivier

Hi Ice , you will find the colour on the chart its number 17 on the wheel…

It's also a colour I'm contemplating

And this is the other, No 5 on the chart wheel Rosso Ferrari 20-R-187….Or it's No 2 on the pinin farina chart…I Absolutely Love it.
Cheers
John

Re: Help locating correct color code for today PPG
I finally manage to get some results with the paint colors.
PPG only has a water based rendition of old Dino colors, Ferrari and Fiat alike. The problem comes that not every paint shop is on board with water base colors and not every paint shop is certified to paint water base colors by PPG
My body shop only paints old solvent paint so we had to locate a paint manufacturer that could match the original Dino colors.
We where about to find
106-A-16 Celestial Blue Metallic ( Still waiting on a color match )
106-A-32 Azzurro Metallizzato Light Blue Metallic
106-A-72 Bleu Dino Metallizzato Medium Blue Metallic
Now I must decide on a color....

I had the same questions.
First painted the car in Bleu Dino - and found it was a little too loud.
Then settled on Azzuro Metalizzato - which I belive makes all the curves come to life. The color changes a lot from at different angles. Here are a few photos (you can see the difference with my previous posts where it was pictured in a garage) :
