Not the most complicated part on a Fiat Dino, but I'm stuck nevertheless...
Front vent windows - aka quarterlights - I'm trying to remove the driver's side to replace the triangular rubber gasket in the frame. I cannot see how it comes out.
I've removed:
- opener knob
- 4 screws holding 'gearbox' to door
- plastic bracket that covers the window's shaft between frame above and gearbox below (2 x M6 nuts)
But the window's shaft just doesn't want to detach from the gearbox - how does it come out of there?
Thanks in advance for any tricks.

Re: vent windows/quarterlights
Been through that lately, you have to remove all bolts and nuts from the complete window frame (quarter window and normal side window), than you can drop the complete assembly far enough to replace the quarter window. There are also some really small screws holding the chrome trim in place that you have to remove.

Re: vent windows/quarterlights
Thanks Stefan. Finally got it out - there was a metal shim keeping the vent-window shaft in the gearbox's slot. Once that was out then the vent window pulled up and out.
The seal isn't glued in so that came out easily too.
