Good Luck Rob
Let me know how you get on, as long as the rubber is soft then you shouldn't have any problems.

Be very careful putting the glass back in. You need to start with the metal parts already in the rubber gasket, then use the 'rope method'. Mount the gasket on the glass, then the rope goes on the outside of the gasket ( in the seam). Place the glass in position, then push in the glass, while pulling the rope out to seal the gasket.
I had mine done by a professional glass company, and just watching was frightening !!
