2ltr Spider

Post by Gaelicguy »

Can anyone provide a source for the following, neither of which can I find in the parts manuals.
1. The plastic overcenter clip on the bottoms of the fuel filter/ pressure regulator. I think before it exploded into many pieces that it had the name Toledo on it.
2. On the Spider seats there is what I am presuming is a plastic block the the seat back land on. It is screwed onto the seat bases with 2 Phillips screws. Each of the 4 had totally broken down after 35 yrs of storage.
Even a photo of the block would be useful as I am sure I can make them from jewelers block.
Thanks in advance
Michael

There are a couple types of clamps for the glass fuel bowl.
One is a wheel style that screws up and down, like in this photo:

and this one:
https://classicalfa.com/fl053-filter-ki ... lass-bowl/
Google Search Fuel King glass fuel filter for one half the price of the above
and one is like the FISPA lever style cam, like what is on my 1967 Dino Coupe and most of my Alfa Romeos
http://reoriginals.com/fuelfilterassemb ... 0063x.aspx
I've found them on eBay, with and without glass bowls:

Finding just the piece you are looking for will take some time searching on eBay or second hand. There are a couple different sized fuel bowls and bases, so measure diameters, and check for input/output piping [if you replace the whole unit] to make sure it is compatible with what you need.
If anyone had a new clamp piece , it would probably be Matt Jones at ReOriginals.
Ben.

Thanks Ben
I have the type shown in the eBay add.
Black plastic over enter cam. The problem is, it’s probably 50 yrs old too.
I will contact Matt Jones today.
I have a habit of not using flea bay after having been burnt by some really bad used stuff for my airhead Beemers.
Thanks again
