WANTED - Dino: needn't be "alive"

Post by mostromilano »

Looking for a Dino. Would prefer to start with a Spider but would consider a coupe.

Here's the deal: I'm actually in the market for either of 2 cars, but not both.

Car 1 could be a solid, relatively complete and driving car car. Cosmetics and minor mechanical issues don't scare me - but significant rust is an issue.

Car 2 could be a solid, incomplete car (sans engine/gearbox or with blown engine/gearbox). If this is the case - prefer to have rest of car relatively issue-free. This may be an unusual vehicle to find these days.

Thanks much for any guidance or leads. Located near the Motor City (Detroit).

hello,
I have decided to let my 67 spider go to a new home. I also have another chassis under restoration that I want to work on. This is a complete daily driver with a fresh engine, tires, suspension and more. Located in Souther Calif. MANY spare drive train parts. No rust. Would prefer to discuss in private. PM contact info.

DJ,
hello down under. Fear not. I have another chassis (less drive train) Please do not be too harsh, but I am putting a different drive train in it. Small block ford with a C4 and Chevy S10 rear end. I wouldn't touch the body lines though. From the outside she will look stock. Now if you look close, the engine is injected but I am using my own upper manifold and webers to make people crazy. Also will use crank trigger so there will be no distributor (yes I know how to drive the oil pump)
Here you go, a secret picture fromt the skunk works.

Hi Dan,
is that a 2 litre spider body shell? It should sound amazing and have lots of grunt in a Sunbeam Tiger sort of way. I have a fibreglass body mold of a 2400 spider sitting in my garage should you ever want to have a fast light replica (and put the genuine one back on the road with a Dino heart)
best wishes
