Wanted: Fiat Dino 2400 coupé

Post by hko »

I'm looking for a good or a very good Fiat Dino 2.4 coupé.

- Should be registered in a EU country (I'm located in Finland)
- I'll consider both restored (recently or older restorations) and well maintained original cars, in that order
- Must not need anything big like rust repairs (I don't want to see any rust in the body), repaint or engine overhaul.
- I'd prefer non-black leather interior and blue, silver or white exterior but I'll consider others as well

Thanks,
Hannu

I'm still looking for a good Dino. All leads would be welcome. I've traveled to see three cars so far but no luck. Things are looking grim: I may need to do the summer holiday trip with a German car

Hi, There is a very good one in Hungary for 42.000.- EUR. Does not need restoration or anything, only the seats have been covered with new leather. I saw the car myself and there is a lot of media coverage too. Brown colour you may have a look at it on mobile.de.

Good luck!

Thanks! I do follow the sites such as mobile.de, so I was mainly hoping for leads to cars not advertised on those. I was rather hopeful about a silver car in Netherlands but after contacting the seller, not so much anymore. The brown one in Hungary is probably the only one with a hobbyist ownership and some record of maintenance, which is very positive. I'm a bit concerned about the future of the engine given the mileage and that nothing has been done so far. I'm not a fan of the colour combination either, especially the interior (I'm also suspicious about the correctness of it). Of course engine can be taken care of and interior fixed/redone but it'll quickly be 20k on top of the price of the car.

Dear hko,

You may be right with the engine, I was told that it lacks some power. Same as mine, even after re-ringing it:-( In case you do not like the colour on this car - a respray in Hungary would amount to approxx.2.500.- EUR - I have just ordered it.... However the car is in use, I saw it twice this year and was on television too. Check out FIAT DINO SPORT VERDA on You Tube.
