Off Topic - Barnfind

Post by Tobi »

Look what I found in my garage today. Standing there since the end of the last millennium. Boarding it for the first time again was like entering a time capsule. Seems to become my next project.

Geil, ein Strafzettel über 10 DM! Unbedingt aufheben!
(Wow, a 10 Deutschmark ticket! That's a keeper!)

Know any Lancista, Tobi?

Yes, I rather keep it than settling it ;)
I don't know any Lancisti at the moment but got a good contact to start again.
By the way interesting to see that the tickets are much wower than the car :D

Well, it's not a Grale, which might have generated more interest ;) but I admit to having always had a soft spot for Lancias. Only owned one, though; Germany's second fastest Kappa 3.0, clocked at 263 km/h :o If I hadn't bought the Dino, I might have searched for a Fulvia Coupé.

I do know some Lancia aficionados in Stuttgart, if you are interested.

Why did you park her up Tobi? New fluids, belts, battery and tyres, and drive as-is? Despite what I'm doing to my Dino I really love to see a classic with patina on the road!

I won't remove patina, but rust should be removed. Maybe some more than only fluids, belts, battery and tyres is necessary. I don't think that all the rubbers are still in good condition. The engine might need a little more work since it was standing for almost 18 years. Suspension and brakes might also need som attention.

I fear, Tobi is right. This car needs a lot of attention.

Really cool car, love these original 8valves.
Out of extensive first hand experience.... they all need a lot of work but this looks like an honest, unmolested example and that is the most important

It's definitely unmolested. I own it since more than 25 years and it remained untouched almost 18 years now.
