Colour code Silverstone Grey

Post by lcooper »

Hi all,

I've had a question from a club member who wants to restore his coupé to original Silverstone Grey colour but doesn't know how to get the correct paint - does anyone have a modern code or something he can work from?

Thanks for any help,
Lincoln

Hi, Grigio Silverstone is still a current Ferrari colour, (FER 430 GRIGIO SILVERSTONE), the OEM paint code is 159650, manufacturer PPG have it as FER 159650. There are water based equivalents, OEM code is 266613, PPG have it as 912517. The colour is a little darker than 661 but this may be because the original examples I"ve seen have bleached out a bit. Anyway, here's my 2400 Coupe, finished in the water based version:

Glad you like it. When I rebuilt the car I installed throttle body fuel injection...if anyone's interested.

Hi Tomasir

This is at least for me, very interesting. Not to "hijack" this tread, but maybe you could post some info in the "Tuning tread"http://fiatdinoforum.org/viewtopic.php? ... 8&start=10?
I suppose you have installed Jenvey throttle bodies, but huh ave you used 40, 42 or 45mm? And what kind of management have you installed? Could you post some pictures of the installation?

One more thing, I also have a 2400 Coupe which is in color 661 Grigio Scuro.
The 2000 Coupe also have the color code 661, and here it is named 661 Grigio Silverstone.
Does some of you know if there is some difference between 661 Grigio Scuro & 661 Grigio Silverstone?

OK, I"ll post a bit of information about the fuel injection on the thread you mention. I'll post photos when I've had the chance to take decent ones, those I took during the rebuild were for my reference and are not very interesting.
Can't help with info on Grigio Scuro, sorry.
