color of cam cover and engine block

Post by botond1222 »

Dear All,
I know this topic have been discussed several times, but could you update me what was the final conclusion?
I have a Fiat Dino Coupe 2.4 form 1971
So what should be the color of
- the engine block: natur, red, Anything?
- And the same question about the cam cover...I have seen on pictures several version of Cam covers, black red, gold, gray, natur, etc...but do we know what was the original color?

Thank you in advance your support!

There are often annoying discussions about this topic like this one: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=564&start=20
The cam covers are either magnesium or aluminium with a passivation coating. No paint.
The engine block is also bare aluminium (2000) or cast iron (2400).

Thank you!
All clear now. So no paint or if any, just for fun...
