Dear Friends,
My 2400 Fiat Coupe had its second clutch cable broken in 3 weeks. My mechanic says it is because the cable must stuck somewhere. I ordered a new pressure plate from Superformance. Here is the question: the Fiat brochure (see photo) indicates a pressure plate very similar to which Superformance.UK registers as a Fiat 2000. I also attach a photo of the new plate (lighter colour) I received from them and identified as one belonging to the 2.4 liter cars (Fiat/Ferrari alike). However in the catalaogue they look different, and my old plate looks exactly as the 2000 version (darker colour with the wear in the middle).
Any ideas where the disrepency is? Thanks, Zsolt

Hi Zsolt, the clutch cover shown in the diagram is for the 2.0 car and neither of your clutch covers look like it. when I tried to buy an original design cover from them for my 2.0 they did not have them.

Dear 4cambob,
Of course I believe you, but are you saying that the diagram states incorrectly the 2.4 version's pressure plate? As I explained my car is 2.4, the engine and the chassis definitely are. The book came with the car, as did the drawing. Do you - by any chance - have a photo of the clutch system of your Fiat 2000? Could my be some intermediate version?
They have a version resembling the one on the diagram, but they say it is the original 2000 verison. I am now replacing with that, but I am still in the dark, why with the 2liter?????Thanks, Zsolt

Do you think this is what we need according to the diagram?

Re: clutch
your last photo is the same type for the 2.0 and also as per your earlier diagram. I cant confirm if the 2.4 is different to that but if I had to guess I would say it would be different.

Yes that is what I see too. Still not clear though why they use this latter version in my car and show in its catalogue, when both are 2.4 liter... I wonder if it is a newer ZF gearbox afterall....
