Dino Spyder 2400 Headlight Adjuster Nuts Source

Post by 2dinos »

Any suggestions on where to get these?

There are eight total. The adjusting screw is 5mm Ø, the nut is nylon, and the nut retainer fits into a 6 x 6.75mm rectangular opening. I'd guess they are Carello?

There are many clip nuts out there, but this one is pretty small considering it holds a 5mm Ø screw.

Thanks!!

Thank you for your reply. Any chance you have a source for the nut?? It is a capture clip with a nylon nut that holds that 5mm adjustment screw.

Many thanks again,

I had the same issue, tried modern cage nuts that are too big and thought about using rivet nuts - for both options the holes had to be widened. In the end I luckily found enough of the old ones that I the re-used. If you don’t have them, I would go for rivet nuts.

I found some 3mm cage nuts used for computer chassis construction at Bell Metric. They are stainless steel, so I just opened up the M3 and tapped it to an M5, and it seems to fit the 6mm x 6.75mm rectangular opening well. I haven't put the assembly all together yet, but this looks good so far.
