is there a source that i can buy from , to convert my 1959 Dino engined road race cars dual point ignition system with a MSD 6A ,new distributor cap , new wires , eliminate the points and go with a electronic ignition system ? I would like to buy ,if possible a complete kit . Plug and play as they say .i am not a purest , so I'm not concerned about looking original ,we wont be racing the car anymore , we just want a reliable car to cruise around in.
Thank you in advance, Don

Re: MSD Ign
Hi Don,
I could supply you something like that.
I have all the parts to make/convert a dino ignition to a 'programmable' MSD electronic ignition system. With this system you have a magnetic pickup instead of the breaker points, and the ignition box to control the advance. So there will be no more weights and springs and other moving parts inside the distributor.
Even for purists it would be possible to build all of it inside a Dinoplex case, but it's not a must.

Re: MSD Ign
You may only replace the Dinoplex and coil by an MSD 6A. This works fine, but you still have the distributor. A bit better than the MSD would be the Winterburn ignition. This is the one that is closest to the Dinoplex regarding the output. If you want to get rid of the points by converting the distributor using a kit.
