When I first got my spare 206 engine, I mounted the block directly to the engine stand.
Now that I have a spare bellhousing, I have the bellhousing mounted to the engine stand.
Using the bellhousing required drilling the engine stand mounting plate to match bolt holes in the bellhousing to transmission end.
Bolts are the same size as the holes in the bellhousing. I don't remember if they were M10 or M12.
Both ways work, but with the bellhousing method, I can attach the flywheel to the crank.
Photos of both ways of mounting the engine to the stand are attached.

I'll do it direct to the rear of the engine and worry about the flywheel afterwards.
