Fiat Dino Forum (FDF)

I have 2 original Fiat Cromodora CD1 rims left. All have been stripped chemically, which is a very gentle method. Now you see what you buy, no bad surprises. The one is date stamped 1970 the other one 1971. The 1970 has a hump and therefor, is good for tubeless mounting of the tire. Both have the large font CROMODORA casting.

Hi Georg, what chemical did you use to strip these? It looks like it has removed the dow layer too?

Unfortunately, I have no idea what is being used to remove the old paint. I gave the rims to a paint shop, and they have a large client, which cleans metal objects chemically on an industrial scale.
