Pininfarina Hardtop restoration

Hello all,
I am preparing to restore the Pininfarina hardtop on my 2.4 spider. Top is #136, and is in fair-good shape at best. It appears that to do it right we'll need to remove the back window, which has my restorers as well as myself pretty scared! Has anyone out there got experience with dismantling one of these? Please let me know before we launch into this.
