Restored 2L Spider
An interesting car, which seems to have been restored in Poland..
I have zero knowledge of the seller, or the quality of the car etc...

Re: Restored 2L Spider
It is a bit strange why they changed the instrument panel to a 1st series, as this car is a 2nd series car (original instrument panel also shown on pictures of car before restoration)
Re: Restored 2L Spider
They just exchanged the wood into black paint and the top dash into leather as most likely the original one did have cracks...
Chroming looks a bit too shiny and Alcantara as arm rests is also a bid weird. I also do not like the middle console been done in leather.

Yes, just piano black finish on the dash, and change to some of the trim pieces...

Otherwise appears to be nicely sorted - interesting to see how much it will fetch.
Re: Restored 2L Spider
The lack of pictures of any structural repairs, is the thing that would concern me, although the other cars that are in the restoration shop, look pretty high end, so maybe they had the ability to do the job properly!

Re: Restored 2L Spider
Looking at the inner water channels (e.g. thermostat housing ) in detail this does not look like a proper restoration, more like cosmetics.
Really concerning is the lack of any documentation of sills, A-posts and other structural areas.

the seller posted this:
This car took 6 years to restore and the waiting list for this restoration company is 3 years , so if you are prepared to wait 9 years then this car is very cheap as time is all we have as people

In the description they mention that the original black leather wheel was replaced by the later wood rim wheel.
I was of the understanding that the spiders changed to wood rim wheels around car# 350. At 800+ that’s almost the end of the run.
