Throttle Return Spring Source

In all the parts removing/cleaning, I have misplaced the throttle return spring for the 1967 Coupe I am working on. Part number is 4171776.

The usual sources do not seem to have it. I place a similar spring in it's place temporarily. However, it is not fully returning the linkage. Does anyone have a source for the real part?

Also: Does anyone have experience with the "throttle linkage improver" sold by some vendors?

I bought the throttle linkage improver kit from SF but I have no idea how to install it.
I too am looking for more info on the product.
